Video: Melkus RS 2000 GT & GTS

German marquee Melkus bring this year's Top Marques show in Monaco, the RS2000 GT and GTS models, which are of two types, a lightweight sports coupe, and both of them are fixed with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that was completed by a "well-known German manufacturer".

The entry-level GT model delivers 296 hp (300 PS / 221 kW), sufficient for a 0-60 mph race in 4.5 seconds. The greater version, the GTS, cranks out 345 hp (350 PS / 257 kW) and has a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h), while 0-60 mph is done in only 3.9 seconds.

Both models has characteristic adjustable dampers for the suspension along with AP performance brakes. Thanks to using a lot of carbon fiber components, they've managed to get a curb weight of only 2205 lb (1000 kg). This lightweight material was used for the front spoiler, rear diffuser, rear wing and the side air guides.
